Judy Savoy - GET ME BACK TO THE GARDEN

GET ME BACK TO THE GARDEN, I’M CHOKIN’ ON THE WEEDS is a one-woman show of stand-up comedy, characters, and a few songs that range from gospel to rock. With wigs, hats and a few accents, Judy takes biblical characters (and some you won’t find in any translation) and transports them to our time. She believes that we have not changed since Adam and Eve and why go anywhere else for material. You’ll meet Eve who complains of inequalities in her domestic life, Mrs. Noah who thinks her husband is hard-of-hearing, Laverne who is Delilah’s hairdresser, and an East Coast fisherman. Then there’s The Pharisee Rapper, the Starlet, the Producer, the PR lady who tries to sell the disciples on a marketing strategy, and Martha who really thinks her last name is “Stewart”. It is very funny, provocative, and often poignant. It is 75 minutes long with no intermission. You will have to use the washroom before the show starts, although some people have said they laughed so hard they…well, you know! If you think an hour is long enough or 20 minutes is all you can take……she can do that.
